Join us for a special conversation with Sang Young Park, internationally acclaimed Korean author of Love in the Big City and one of the most distinctive voices in contemporary Korean literature.


With wit, honesty, and keen observation, Love in the Big City explores love, queer identity, friendship, family, and belonging against the vibrant backdrop of contemporary Seoul. His internationally celebrated novel Love in the Big City has reached readers around the world through translation and has also been adapted for both film and television.


In this conversation, Park will share insights into his writing and creative process, the people and places that inspire his fiction, and the experiences of seeing stories rooted in contemporary Korea travel across languages, cultures, and forms.
